Carlos Marroquín Sagalés, Managing Partner at Marroquín Abogados, joined the firm in 1988. He is both an economist and a lawyer with extensive experience in Tax Law, Commercial Law, M&A, and Restructuring. He is the Partner responsible for the Tax Department and has broad experience in providing comprehensive advice to companies, participating in numerous processes related to both national and international taxation, as well as in effective tax planning. He also has extensive knowledge of personal taxation, advising clients in the defence of their interests before public authorities and courts, as well as in the analysis, planning, and optimisation of their tax situation.

In addition, he has taken part in numerous family wealth planning operations (generational transfer), business acquisitions and sales, and corporate reorganisations. Likewise, as an economist, he is responsible for the economic and financial practice linked to the firm’s other areas.
