Professional Experience

Ignacio Marroquín Sagalés is Managing Partner of Bufete Marroquín, whose firm he joined as a lawyer in 1985, where he has fully developed his long professional career.

He is the partner responsible for the Common Law, Real Estate and Urban Planning areas, as well as Litigation, with extensive experience in all types of proceedings before civil and contentious-administrative jurisdictions.

Since the entry into force of the Bankruptcy Law (2004), his participation in the area of Bankruptcy Law – Restructuring and Insolvencies has been gaining weight, having been appointed in many bankruptcy proceedings of great technical complexity and having advised important companies of our national panorama in a situation of insolvency. It should be noted that in this practice he has been recognized as an outstanding professional on numerous occasions

Doctrinal and teaching collaboration

He has been a lecturer on Insolvency Law in the Master of Legal Practice that is organized annually by the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía de Barcelona (I.S.D.E.) as well as in the Legal Practice Programs of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).

He has collaborated and participated in informative works on Civil Procedure Law “Forms of the Civil Procedure Law” (Ed. Difusión Jurídica y Temas de Actualidad SA) Year 2000 of the Legal Review ECONOMIST & JURIST, as well as in the work “La Nueva Bankruptcy Law” Year 2003 of the same Editorial.

Ha colaborado y participado en obras divulgativas en materia de Enjuiciamiento Civil “Formularios de la Ley de Enjuiciamiento Civil” (Ed. Difusión Jurídica y Temas de Actualidad S.A.) Año 2000 de la Revista Jurídica ECONOMIST & JURIST, así como en la obra “La Nueva Ley Concursal” Año 2003 de la misma Editorial.

He has participated as a speaker at the V FORO ARANZADI CONCURSAL BARCELONA 2019 organized by the entity THOMSON REUTERS.
