Una de sus caracter\u00edsticas principales es que son monedas que no necesitan de un Banco Central u otra instituci\u00f3n que las controle, sino que se crean e intercambian a trav\u00e9s de redes digitales descentralizadas.<\/p>\n<p>Una criptomoneda se podr\u00eda definir como un bien inmaterial, computable por unidades o fracciones de unidades, que no son moneda de curso legal, que pueden ser intercambiados por otros bienes, incluyendo otras monedas virtuales, derechos o servicios, si se aceptan por la persona o entidad que transmite el bien o derecho o presta el servicio, y que pueden adquirirse o transmitirse generalmente a cambio de moneda de curso legal.<\/p>\n<p>Las dos principales criptomonedas que existen en la actualidad a nivel mundial son <em>bitcoin <\/em>y <em>ether<\/em>. El <em>bitcoin<\/em> y la plataforma <em>Bitcoin<\/em> fueron creados por Satoshi Nakamoto en el 2009. Por su parte, el <em>ether<\/em> es una moneda virtual que se vincula con la plataforma digital <em>Ethereum<\/em>, creada en 2015 para crear aplicaciones descentralizadas y colaborativas.
